Very pretty glassy Selenite crystals with accenting Calcite, Sphalerite and Pyrite. Both sides present well.
Metaphysical Properties: Selenite opens, aligns and clears the aura. It is used to clear the mind and expand our awareness of ourselves as well as our surroundings. Senenite transmits light, energy and information which makes is useful for channeling as well as for healing. In meditation it can be used to access past lives or future lives. In healing, it can be used to remove blockages because of it's ability to transmit light.

Fire red Vanadinite crystals
on matrix.
Vanadinite was originally discovered in Mexico by the Spanish mineralogist Andrés Manuel del Río in 1801. He called the mineral "brown lead" and asserted that it contained a new element, which he first named pancromium and later, erythronium. However, he was later led to believe that this was not a new element but merely an impure form of chromium. In 1830, Nils Gabriel Sefström discovered a new element, which he named vanadium. It was later revealed that this was identical to the metal discovered earlier by Andrés Manuel del Río. Del Río's "brown lead" was also rediscovered, in 1838 in Zimapan, Hidalgo, Mexico, and was named vanadinite due its high vanadium content. Other names that have since been given to vanadinite are johnstonite and lead vanadate (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Minas Gerais was formed mainly by colonists who searched for veins of gold and gems, and later diamonds. The name literally means general mines, a shortening from Minas dos Matos Gerais, or mines of the general woods, this being originally the hinterland to the incipient colonies of São Paulo dos Campos de Piratininga and São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Aesthetic arrangement of green Amazonite crystals on matrix resembling a castle on a rise.
For many years, the source of Amazonite's color was a mystery. Naturally, many people assumed the color was due to copper because copper compounds often have blue and green colors. More recent studies suggest that the blue-green color results from small quantities of lead and water in the feldspar. (Hoffmeister and Rossman, 1985) - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dark red Grossular Garnets on matrix. The name grossular is derived from the botanical name for the gooseberry, grossularia, in reference to the green garnet of this composition that is found in Siberia. Other shades include cinnamon brown (cinnamon stone variety), red, and yellow.

Colemanite is a borate mineral found in evaporite deposits. Colemanite is a secondary mineral that forms when borax is deposited, and then regularly covered with boron containing water. The boron remains after the water evaporates, and the boron and borax eventually form other minerals as for example Colemanite.
It was named after William T. Coleman (1824-1893), owner of the mine where it was first found
