The following mineral specimens are a selection from the Collection of Peter Rosewarne.

Peter recently retired as a Partner with an international natural resources organization - SRK Consulting. His interest in minerals began in high school, where he learned basics of geology and continued his education at Kingston University, London, UK majoring in mineralogy and igneous petrology. He graduated with a BSc Honors Degree in Geology in 1974.

Peter emigrated to South Africa in 1975, where he continued his interest in minerals while branching out career-wise into the field of Groundwater Management.

Peter's full fledged collecting bug was triggered by the discovery, in 2007, of the many mineral specimen wonders shown on internet mineral dealer sites. His collecting from that point resulted in a suite of about 950 pieces. His favorites include garnet, tourmaline, dioptase, vanadinite, pyromorphite, wulfenite, fluorite and smithsonite, but his collection also includes a broader range of other specimens from localities around the world. Peter recently decided to downsize his collection allowing the specimens on this page to be offered for sale to other collectors, with possibly more to come in future updates.
