Intricate curved groups of Calcite crystals with copious inclusions of Jamesonite that have imparted a deep smoky gray to black color. Hard to photograph - looks more fantastic in person. Grab this one while you can, as supply from Romanian Mines is essentially at an end.
Another gorgeous example of a mineral formed in more recent history from the run off at the Planet Mine, but it is naturally formed versus the lab grown Chalcanthites from Poland. Stunning electric blue color.
New from Tucson !! This is a precipitate as a result of the mining activity in the Bone Valley Mining District. It is natural, ie, not lab grown, but has formed in much more recent times than most other mineral specimens. The Mineralogical Record will be reporting on them as something new in minerals. This was one of the few new finds at the 2009 Tucson Mineral Show.
A lustrous 7 x 1 cm double terminated crystal of dark green Apatite sits atop a brownish Quartz Matrix.

There is a lot of Quartz out there, but this is high quality Quartz from the famous Old Coleman Mine in Arkansas, where the finest US Quartz comes from and, which is among the best in the world. This is a nice Colemen cluster with sharp water clear crystals.
Very nice cluster of Quartz Crystals tinted blue-green by Ajoite inclusions at or near the crystal terminations. These are rare specimens in big demand by Collectors. There were mostly single Quartz crystals with Ajoite, many not very aesthetic, at the Tucson Show, but my eye caught this very attractive cluster of smaller crystals.
Attractive solid piece of lustrous primary Malachite in two forms, i.e., botroyoidal and fibrous.
Metaphysical Properties: "Ajoite produces a melding between the heart chakra and the throat chakra and facilitates speaking that which is in one's heart. This quality provides for a peacefulness within ones emotional system and joyful acceptance of ones surroundings, circumstances and environment. The energy of Ajoite also brings peace within the self, regardless of ones actual physical or mental location; Ajoite stimulates understanding and total acceptance."

Metaphysical Properties:  Tangerose Quartz is a wonderful healing stone after trauma or shock. It is also used in past life healing and is beneficial in situations where one feels a need to make up for past damages done.

It activates and balances the sacral hara chakra. It leads one to a more positive vibration in life. Tangerose Quartz is sometimes used to enhance sexuality and creativity.

Aesthetic cluster of Quartz points timted a Tangerine color by Hematite. This variety only comes from Brazil.
In very good condition.
Beautiful light teal colored Chrysocolla on Drusy Quartz. These are hard to find and much sought after by collectors.
Pretty little plate of stubby purple Amethyst crystals grown out from a drusy of smaller Amethyst crystals.
A very nice cluster of lustrous light green Datolite crystals. Much of the coloration is due to the inclusion of copper or associated minerals in progressive stages of hydrothermal precipitation.
Location of Rhine-Westphalia,
in Germany
Beautiful fan-shaped plate of white lustrous curvy Barite blades with interspersed golden Chalcopyrite crystals.
Nice specimen of two connected balls of numerous hexagonal Aragonite crystals.
Attractive plate of Smoky Quartz with nice coverage of dark honey colored gemmy Spessartine Garnets.
A really neat specimen of many perfectly formed balls of radiating accicular crystals of Okenite. This is not the dyed junk sold on ebay. It was first described in 1828 for an occurrence at Disko Island, Greenland and named for German naturalist Lorenz Oken (1779-1851)
Gemmy yellow-green hexagonal crystals of Apatite (to 1.5x1 cm) on matrix.
The name Apatite comes from a Greek word meaning to decieve in allusion to its similarity to other more valuable minerals such as olivine, peridot and beryl.

Numerous, very glassy, clear, thin, bladed crystals of Hemimorphite form this delicate and aesthetic specimen.
Alluring cluster of Calcite crystals with a pastel green color due to presence of Chlorite.
For the price, this is a fine addition to a collection needing a Sweet Home-like Rhodocrosite specimen, as this one could easily be mistaken for one right out of the Sweet Home Mine - except for the price !!
I found this fine cluster of Kyanite crystals in an out of the way Mineral Dealer location at Tucson and grabbed it . You don't find many this nice.
Jet black, lustrous prismatic Aegirine crystals richly covering a Feldspar matrix.
Classic Romanian specimen of Quartz overgrown by snow-white Calcite and, with some accenting golden Chalcopyrite. Even better in person. These fine aesthetic specimens are not as available now due to mines closing.
A glassy 3.5x3.5x1.5 cm crystal of rare Goosecreekite is perfectly perched on a base of gemmy clear Apophyllite in this vug.
A beautiful crust of Opal (No, it is not Chrysocolla) grew on this large cluster of Quartz forming a stunning and rare specimen
Nice representative specimen of Microcline from Colorado.
Nice plate of silvery Galena with associated black Sphalerite and Quartz. Also appears to have a nice crystal or two of Tetrahedrite.
This is simply a super gorgeous specimen, far better than the photographs show. It just super sparkles with multiple generations of Quartz, some tinted with Hematite. My wife has her eye on this one, so grab it while you can !!

Chalcanthite's name derives from the Greek, chalkos and anthos, meaning copper flower.
Note: Store in a dry place or container with dessicant (you may have some in your Rx containers). Handle as little as possible, as the crystals are delicate. And wash hands after handlling - Chalcanthite is Poisonous
(Click here for more information on Chalcanthite).
